All three restaurants contain one thing in particular, and that is the chefs Beto’s personal touch. While growing up, Beto was not a big fan of cooking. As he soon began to understand the importance of becoming an expert in the kitchen, he knew he had to learn more if he was going to stay in the restaurant industry. That’s exactly what he did, and he started to become passionate about cooking and went in depth to making delicious authentic Mexican cuisine. Every day he dedicates to making a new plate or giving it a different flavor that differentiates Beto’s from the competition. Beto’s restaurants serve authentic Mexican food from their delicious menudo to chile drenched enchiladas all the way to the mouth watering antojitos Mexicanos: tortas, tacos, gorditas, and burritos. All items of course with Beto’s personal exquisite touch.
This dynamic duo has been successful over the past seven years. While Beto focuses on having the kitchen running and feeding the people of Austin; Lupita focuses on giving the best customer experience. Lupita enjoys the relationship building process and treating the customers like they deserve. You can always find a welcoming smile with Lupita.
Beto’s Mexican Restaurants began with a window of opportunity after co-owners Lupita Bermudez and Norberto Nolasco were offered to take over La Placita back in 2010. Five years later, Beto’s #1, would be another opportunity thrown at the co-owners. They were already looking for something more, and that opportunity would have perfect timing, and they accepted without any hesitation. Lastly, Beto’s #2 would be an unexpected opportunity yet again. Lupita and Beto would have only two hours to decide if they wanted to reserve a running restaurant and take over it or let it go. They accepted, and the restaurant would become Beto’s #2.
